WHAT WE DO
AUT Millennium Schools Programme can provide the tools, facilities, and instructors to give all school students the opportunity to participate in physically active, hands-on, outside-the-classroom learning experiences.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
A range of aquatic and land-based activities are offered to create an Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) Activity Day. Our activities are conducted in a fun and safe environment all year round. Students can participate in the aquatic activities regardless of their swimming ability, as life jackets are an integral part of the programmes.
Based on the Physical Education and Health curriculum of New Zealand schools, the AUT Millennium Schools Programme offers the following activities for your students to get the most out of their experience:
- Water safety
- Surf safety
- Kayaking
- Snorkelling
- Rock climbing
- Team building
- Team athletics
- Students usually visit for a full day of activities.
- We offer flexibility with start and end times to work with your bus timetable.
- We can host a maximum of 60 students per day based on four different activities.
- Students are split into small groups and move on a rotation basis around the chosen activities. One AUT Millennium trained and qualified instructor per group.
- Schools will need to provide one school staff member per group.
- We adapt our programmes to cater to different year levels, from year two children to secondary school students.

What I learnt was kayaking and how safety works in the water and doing rock climbing with you. My highlight of the day was kayaking because I was scared at first, but then I felt more better when I was kayaking with my friends.

My favourite activity was kayaking. At the beginning I was feeling really happy because I heard that we were going to learn about flipping the kayak over. When I got to have a turn, I was feeling excited and confident. I really liked it. The adults teaching me were nice and very kind.
