WHAT WE DO
The programme teaches key surf safety principles and survival techniques in a practical session that aims to prevent water-related tragedies by raising awareness of personal limitations, potential dangers and bystander rescues.
Our rips and currents drill allows students to experience the movement of fast-flowing water and the difficulties of swimming against it in a safe and controlled environment (we can do this at your school pool!)
The programme covers
- Float First
- Survival swimming
- Theory and drowning recognition
- Position of flags and roles of the lifeguard
- Improvised floatation
- Bystander rescues
- Rips and currents
- Scenarios
