With improvements to the National Aquatic Centre and Millennium Learn to Swim Pool now complete, the next phase will see the Millennium 50m Pool revitalised with a surface upgrade. A PVC pool liner will be installed providing a smooth clean finish, and a 10+ year lifespan which will enable longer term continuity and access for the community.
The Millennium 50m pool closed on Monday 28 September 2026 for this essential work to take place.
We have worked hard to keep disruption to a minimum. Throughout the closure, there will be lanes available in the 50m Pool. Limited shallow lane availability will also be available in the NAC Learn to Swim Pool on weekdays at selected times. To help you plan your visit, we recommend checking our live lane availability below before you arrive.
Please only use public lanes marked with blue signboards. Remaining lanes are allocated for Swim School, Schools Programme, aquatic classes and group bookings.

Please Note: The Millennium Main Pool and the National Aquatic Centre are not always set up in a 50m configuration. Pool length availability may vary depending on our Swim School and Schools Programmes, scheduled events and maintenance. We recommend checking the pool lane availability to stay up to date with the current pool setup.
